The college academic committee supervises the scientific researches, works out the rules of the selection of research projects and the relative financial support. So far the college has raised million yuan of funds to encourage teachers to go further into the scientific research. The first science and technology conference of the college was held in January of 2004.
During the past 3 years, teachers of the college have undertaken 20 research projects of natural sciences of the provincial department level and 2 research projects of natural sciences of the provincial and ministry level. Quite a lot of scientific works have been put
out and over 200 scientific articles have been published in the formal journals. 30 full-time teachers have been involved in the writing and compiling of the textbooks for medical college students. The college has issued "Journal of Zhejiang Medical College" and also published "Zhejiang Medical Education".
